In the biggest non-conference home game in recent memory, No. 7 Michigan blew by No. 11 North Carolina, 84-67, in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Wednesday at Crisler Center.
The Wolverines turned around a 10-point first half deficit in the blink of an eye and went into the break with a four-point lead.
The second half was all Michigan. The Wolverines opened up a double-digit lead. Then they pushed that lead to 20.
North Carolina made an 11-0 run and found itself still facing an 11-point deficit. And then Michigan responded, with a quick seven-point spurt.
Ignas Brazdeikis scored a game-high 24 points, and Charles Matthew added 21 points for the Wolverines.

The NFL’s owners met earlier this month to discuss how they should handle the continuing protests of the league’s players during the playing of the national anthem. The Cal Golden Bears upset the number 8 ranked Washington State Cougars in a game that started off with a kickoff return for a touchdown for Cal, that was call back for holding. Not only was this a sweet victory for Cal knocking off a ranked team this was also special because Cal was destroyed last season by Washington State, with the Bears scoring 21 to the Cougars 56.
Each Syracuse player on the field swung his arm like a Tomahawk. Each one of the 42,475 fans left in the Carrier Dome remained on their feet. The Cleveland Cavaliers are finalizing a deal to send veteran forward Richard Jefferson, Kay Felder to Atlanta. In exchange the Hawks will send back European draft rights to Dimitrios Agravanis and Sergii Gladyr.
